Chris Moody

Chris Moody is the author of the The Opt Outers newsletter on Substack. He is an award-winning journalist with 20 years of reporting experience in digital, print, and broadcast news. Moody was formerly a senior correspondent for CNN Politics and VICE News Tonight. His reporting has been published in The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, New York Magazine, Outside, The New Republic and more, with hundreds of appearances on television and radio, including MSNBC, CNN, Fox News and NPR. He teaches journalism and broadcast media at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
